We woke up to downpour, and it has not stopped raining all day. But just look what my lovely postman brought me The Camper Van Coast coast cookbook available here (where you can get a signed copy) or on Amazon where I got it for nearly half the price. It is a lovely book, which I treated myself to for my Birthday on Wednesday.
I also got a goregous vintage M&S (St Michael as it says on label) sheet, it is a gorgeous pink and brown hexy quilt style pattern and I am already planning a dress for Iona and if I have enough left a pair of summer board short length PJ's for me. And I also got a lovely little pile of fabric from M is for Make. Very quick delivery and that grey and yellow butterfly fabric was only £1 a FQ, so naturally I got 2. Although I wish I had got more as it truly is a gorgeous fabric. A skirt and hat for Iona is planned with that. And did you spot that typewriter fabric? No? Look again, it is stunning and it will be used on a bag for me when I find the right design...
Then after the postage lovage we donned our wellies and hit the puddles. Is it wrong that at nearly 28 I still love puddle splashing as much as when I was 8? I do hope not...
Hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend
xx

Lovely! I love splashing in puddles too. My step children think I'm mad. Have a lovely weekend, Emma. Xxx
ReplyDeleteAt least they only think you're mad... My kids know I'm mad. hehe. Have a fabulous Easter xx
DeleteWhat lovely things to get in the post on a dreary morning, and how spooky I picked up a bed sheet and curtains from the charity shop in the blue colour way of that patchwork fabric, can't wait to see what you make!
ReplyDeleteOh it was just we needed on a wet cold day... Oo blue? Bet that looks lovely too. It's such a lovely print I just couldn't say no. A little more than I wanted to spend but the sheet looks very new and there is sooooo much fabric.
DeleteNice to hear from you xx
Hey Emma, what a wonderful parcel....full of lovely things.
ReplyDeleteAll the fabrics are great and I look forward to seeing what you make out of them all.
I hope you had a lovely birthday and there was cake somewhere in the day !!
It's blue sky and sunshine here this morning. If I could figure out how to send some over to you I would....
Have a great week,
CLaire x
PS Forgot to say you are never ever too old to enjoy sploshing through puddles in your wellies.
ReplyDeleteIn fact I think it's quite important to hold onto some of those childhood delights and carry them through your adult life.........
